How to Add watermark to images using Photoshop

In this tutorial i am going to show you how to add watermark to images, adding watermark to the images is the best way to secure your image from being copied. i have used Photoshop CS 6 for this tutorial and you can use any version of the Photoshop.

Add watermark to Images using Photoshop

Requirements:
1. Photoshop (any version)
2. Your image
So lets start the tutorial :) first of all Open your image in the adobe Photoshop and then open your image and now there are two ways to add the Watermark in your image. 1. add the text in the image as a watermark and 2. add your logo in the image as a water mark. I will show you both ways to add watermark to your image.
   1. Adding text watermark to your image
Follow the simple steps to add the text watermark to your image.
Now select the text tool (or press T) and then write your watermark text like i am going to add thepsd.net choose any color and any size of the text because in the end it don’t matter!
Now just select the move tools and then (Press Ctrl+T to resize the text) and then apply the transformation and now we have successfully placed our text in to the image but still its not effective watermark something is missing there, well i know it 😀
Go to layer –> Layer Style and select Bevel and Emboss and then give the bevel and emboss effect to your text increase the size of the depth, size, angles and all and in our image i have set this values (check the bellow snapshot).
My image is too large so that the values of the depth and size are high and if your image is not too much large then the values of the depth and size should be less.
You can also apply the Drop shadow and other effects too to this text and now we have to make it look better like transparent text ? 😀 yeh! ok so click on the Blending options which is above the bevel emboss effect and then simply change the fill form 100% to 0% and now your text become transparent like a glass texts 😀
You can also change the opacity of the watermark and make it appropriate to your image. And then simply save your image and you have successfully added the text watermark to your image.
you can see the watermark at the bottom of the right side.
   2. Adding your Logo as a watermark
In the process of adding your logo all you have to do is to place your logo in the image and you have to decrease the opacity of your logo and i recommend you to add the text watermark to your image logo will not look that much good :) if you still wanna add the logo as your watermark then open your logo in the Photoshop and Press Ctrl+A and copy the whole logo and then paste it in your image.
Now press Ctrl+T and then set the size of your logo and then apply the transform and i recommend you to post the logo in the bottom of the right side it will look good there.
Now as i said you can decrease the opacity of your logo if you want to decrease it :) and then simply save your image have added the watermark successfully!
